Pause before reactivity narrows your options, so you can return to strategic clarity.
In demanding roles, decision fatigue can turn thoughtful people toward reactive habits and strain the relationships they rely on. Mental fitness helps you notice that shift sooner, regain composure, and choose a more useful response at work and at home.

Pressure changes how we show up. A leader may micromanage instead of trusting the team, avoid a necessary conversation, or carry an unresolved meeting home. Across a team, small defensive reactions can become recurring friction. The cost is felt in decisions, energy, and trust.
The same mental habits can surface in a meeting, in your energy at the end of the day, and in the conversations that matter most.
Pause before reactivity narrows your options, so you can return to strategic clarity.
Notice the stress response early and practice a more sustainable use of your energy.
Bring curiosity and accountability to moments when blame or withdrawal would be easier.
Positive Intelligence® (PQ) is a mental fitness approach that helps you recognize an automatic stress response and practice a different one. Knowing how you want to lead or relate is valuable; the challenge is making that choice available in the heat of the moment.
The framework calls recurring reactions such as self-criticism, worry, and overcontrol Saboteurs. It calls the capacity to pause and choose a constructive response the Sage perspective. Short, repeated exercises help you put that distinction to work in everyday situations.
Recognize when a familiar inner critic or stress response is steering your attention and behavior.
Use a brief sensory attention exercise to interrupt autopilot and bring your focus back to the present.
Explore your options, consider other people, and take the next useful step.
The PQ Foundation combines weekly learning with short, app-guided daily practice. It begins with Self-Command and the Judge, then explores other Saboteurs and the Sage powers. The aim is to build a habit you can use when a real challenge arises.
These are useful shifts to work toward, rather than promises of a particular result.
Notice a setback without letting it define the rest of your day.
Move from defensiveness toward a better question in a difficult meeting.
Create space between the pressure you feel and the action you take.
Recognize when work stress is shaping a personal conversation.
Malcolm brings a rare breadth of leadership experience: working with large global companies and smaller businesses, and coaching leaders and teams across the world. He understands the pressure of delivering results while keeping people engaged and relationships strong.
He helps you notice the thoughts and emotions driving a reaction, regain your choice, and apply mental fitness to the conversations, decisions, and team pressures already on your calendar. The app provides daily practice; Malcolm helps turn that practice into something you can use in real moments.
